Cyclocross sometimes cyclo-cross, CX, cyclo-X or 'cross is a form of technical, fast bicycle racing. Races consist of many laps of a short 1.5–2 mile course featuring pavement, wooded trails, grass, steep hills and obstacles requiring the rider to quickly dismount, carry the bike while navigating the obstruction and remount.
BLUE utilizes only the highest-quality components from the top component providers. BLUE’s CX bikes are available with 4 different component groups that allow you to have the top-of-the-line frameset and still keep within a budget. Configurations include SRAM Force 1x, Shimano Ultegra Di2 for electronic shifting and Shimano Ultegra or Shimano 105 mechanical groups for lower-cost alternatives.
The NORCROSS comes in both the EX and the SL frameset which utilize the propriety BLUE-TEC high-modulus carbon fiber. The NORCROSS SL (super-light) utilizes T-800 composite to keep the weight at a minimum and the EX (extreme-rigidity) is primarily T-700 construction to in-force the stiffness of the carbon fiber layup.
*The SL model is only available in the Black/Orange color scheme while the EX is available in Black/Blue, Black/Silver and Black/Green.
The propriety BLUE-TEC high-modulus carbon on the NORCROSS takes the BLUE's cyclocross line to a new level. With the all new series of carbon lay-up, the NORCROSS is even that much more maneuverable than its original design. High-Modulus Continuous Fiber Frame Technology (CFFT) is a process by which the full-length carbon strands run throughout the bicycle for increased strength while decreasing weight.
Constructed with PF30 bottom bracket shell to take advantage of the larger 30mm BB spindle size.
Designed with oversized tubing for superior stiffness and tracking.
700c wheels that provide ample mud clearance with traditional CX 700x33 tires and supports up to 700x38 tires for other off-road or gravel adventures.
Rotor disc brakes provide increased control on technical and wet or muddy courses.
