Why Shimano Di2 with e-TUBE
Road bikes are higher tech than ever before, and riders are expanding what’s possible with drop bar bikes.
e-TUBE is a Shimano application that allows you update your bicycle's firmware and change DI2 settings when connected to a PC, tablet, or smartphone (tablet/smartphone app may require optional bluetooth eTube module)
Customize functions and operations of shifting and gearing as you please. Discover the settings that match your personal riding style.
Dura-Ace vs Ultegra
Most of the differences between the two groupsets really comes down to materials. Shimano freely admits it had to hit a price point with Ultegra, and that meant swapping out some higher end materials for some slightly bulkier, less expensive options. The Chinook Dura-Ace Di2 build is about 200g (about .4 lbs) lighter than the Ultegra Di2 build.
The other key difference is Ultegra is a groupset designed to be used for a variety of riding styles. To this end, Ultegra can now accommodate a 34t largest rear cassette, whereas Dura-Ace tops out at a 30t.
Power. Power. Power.
BLUE offers several power meter options that are more affordable when purchased with the original bike.
The Shimano Dura-Ace and Ultegra builds can be optionally purchased with a power meter crankset for an additional cost. For this option and others go to Customize My Ride after adding this bike to the cart.
Lightweight, Fast Carbon Wheels
AERUS is our in-house brand of high-quality carbon-fiber bicycle parts and wheels.
First and foremost AERUS wheels are carbon fiber so they are fast and light. However, not all carbon fiber wheels are made equal. AERUS wheels are made using a unique machine-automated filament winding process. It is the most advanced technology to make carbon rims. The precise machine work results in a much stronger carbon rim than manual layup.
